This 25-page booklet gathers together a large collection of the English Hugh Dellar has ended up teaching to the Ukrainian students he’s been working with since 2022. It covers everything from the experience of living under shelling to having to flee the country, hopes and fears for the future to responses to the latest news and developments. It shows how the language we teach often needs to bend to the needs of the students – and it gives a unique perspective on the unfolding horrors that Ukrainians have been forced to live with. This is a non-profit publication and all proceeds from sales will go to Ukrainian charities.
